Spooky pop tarts .

It’s half term next week here and we will most definitely be getting our bake On in this house!

The girls love homemade pop tarts and these hop the naa ones are so quick and easy and super scary! Perfect for a #seasonal breakfast!

I can’t eat a pop-tart without frosting 🤣 but the look really effective without as well!

Here’s some I made last year when I was #gifted some delish jam from @fearne_and_rosie so I’ve used it as the base and topped with blackberries and raspberries.

.
You just need some ready rolled short crust pasty, cut into 8 equal pieces.
.
Preheat oven to 200c
.
On the bottom 4 pieces of pastry pop 2 tsp of jam and top with 1 blackberry in 2 halves and the same with a raspberry.
.
In the top 4 pieces of pastry cut out a scarf face.
.
Pop the cut out pieces of pastry over the jam covered ones.
.
Seal the edges with a fork and place on a lined baking sheet.
.
Bake for 20-25 mins until golden brown.
.
The jam and fruit will leak out of the holes making them look even more spooky!
.
Leave to cook on a cooking rack and then drizzle with icing sugar mixed with water or serve without
.
Ta-da!
.
My girls have been loving these at hop-tu-naa (Halloween) for years but I saw the idea initially on Pinterest I think 🏻
